RefVerify uses an AI verification engine combined with live web search of scholarly and publisher sources. For each reference you submit, our engine reasons about the supplied metadata and the search results, and returns a verdict such as verified, doi mismatch, fake, or unverifiable, along with brief context.
All RefVerify output is provided for informational purposes only. It is intended as a research aid to help you investigate citations more efficiently — not as an authoritative determination of whether a reference is real, fabricated, or correctly cited.

Shajins Group LLC, RefVerify, and our service providers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to any decision, action, or inaction taken on the basis of a RefVerify verification result. Certain underlying AI capabilities are provided by an external AI provider. Shajins Group LLC has no control over the internal workings, availability, or output behavior of third-party AI models, and disclaims all liability arising from their performance to the maximum extent permitted by law.

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, USA.
