This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”)
sets out the rules for using RefVerify, operated
by Shajins Group LLC, a limited liability company
registered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. By accessing or
using RefVerify you agree to abide by this AUP.
1. Permitted Use
RefVerify is provided solely for legitimate academic
reference verification — for example, checking
citations in your own manuscripts, theses, peer-review reports,
student submissions, or research notes.
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
-
Access the Service through automated means — including
bots, crawlers, headless browsers, scripts, or scrapers
— without our prior written consent.
-
Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent any rate limit,
authentication, batch-size limit, or other security or
access-control mechanism.
-
Bulk-abuse the verification tool or any internal API,
including by spreading workloads across multiple accounts
or routing traffic through proxies to evade limits.
-
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise
attempt to derive the source code, prompts, or internal
logic of the AI verification system, or to recreate or
substitute the Service.
-
Submit content that is unlawful, malicious, infringing,
defamatory, harassing, or that contains malware, exploits,
or attempts at prompt injection or system manipulation.
-
Submit personal data of third parties without a lawful basis,
or content that violates the privacy or rights of others.
-
Use RefVerify in connection with academic fraud, plagiarism
support, or to fabricate, launder, or disguise references
you know to be false.
-
Resell, sublicense, white-label, or otherwise commercially
redistribute verification results or the Service itself,
or use them to power a competing product.
-
Misrepresent verification results, alter verdicts, or pass
off RefVerify outputs as the work of another tool or person.
-
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your
affiliation with any person or entity, in your account
information or your use of the Service.
-
Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable,
overburden, or impair RefVerify or interfere with any other
user’s use of the Service.
-
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or
international law or regulation while using the Service.
3. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of activity that violates this AUP, please
report it to
support@refverify.com
with as much detail as you can reasonably provide.
4. Enforcement and Consequences
-
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate
suspension or permanent termination of your
account, at our sole discretion, with or without prior
notice.
-
Termination for violation of this AUP is without
refund. Unused credits may be forfeited and
consumed credits will not be restored.
-
We may preserve and disclose information related to a
violation if we believe in good faith that it is necessary
to investigate, prevent, or take action against suspected
illegal activity, fraud, security threats, or violations
of our Terms of Service.
-
Where conduct may be unlawful, Shajins Group LLC reserves
the right to report it to appropriate law
enforcement or regulatory authorities and to
cooperate with any investigation.
-
We may also pursue any other remedy available to us under
applicable law, including injunctive relief and damages.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Last
updated” date above will reflect the most recent
revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take
effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
6. Governing Law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming,
United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this AUP shall be
resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located
in Wyoming, USA.
